Welcome to my website

My name is Rozita Baarsma-Ristovska, born and raised in Macedonia. I moved to the Netherlands in 2024. My interests originally lay in the world of interior design, but everything changed when my daughter started experiencing health issues.

The physical discomfort she faced deeply affected me and set me on this path. I wanted to understand what was happening in her body. Where was the pain coming from? And what part of her behavior would remain if the discomfort were gone?

This journey led me to the fascinating world of the microbiome, nutrition, and the miracle of the human body. It gave me hope and confidence.

In my quest for answers, I discovered Orthomolecular Medicine and decided to specialize as an Orthomolecular Therapist. This path has provided me with invaluable knowledge and insight into how everything in the body is interconnected and influences one another.

Libra stands for balance, for staying grounded in the center, no matter the circumstances—whether it’s a virus or a traumatic event.

Our body has a natural self-healing ability and is constantly striving for balance. Every second, disrupted processes are adjusted, damaged tissue is repaired, and our body’s cells renew themselves continuously. However, too much stress, trauma, infections, or inflammation can disrupt this balance. Sometimes, people get stuck in a survival mode, leading to a range of complaints.

Following the principles of functional medicine, I take the time to listen to your story to uncover which systems are out of balance and causing your symptoms. Working on the “foundation” through healthy nutrition and lifestyle interventions can activate healing. But what is the right nutrition for you? Orthomolecular medicine focuses on identifying which nutrients, in what dosage and combination, can positively influence your well-being. Nutrition is at the heart of this approach, but connection with nature and others, attention to emotions, movement, and relaxation also play an essential role in achieving and maintaining good health.

My goal is to help you recognize the wonder of the human body, which can heal itself when it receives the right building blocks and stressors are managed.

What does your body need to enter a healing mode?

Functional Medicine

Functional medicine is a science-based discipline that focuses on the individual as a unique entity. It examines the interaction between genetic, biochemical, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence health.

The core principle is to stimulate the body’s self-healing capabilities by identifying the underlying causes of illness rather than merely treating the symptoms. Healthy nutrition plays a pivotal role in achieving and maintaining good health. Additionally, movement, relaxation, sleep, and the impact of stress and unresolved emotions are essential. Every body is different and requires a tailored approach.

Orthomolecular Medicine

The term "orthomolecular medicine" was introduced in 1968 by scientist Linus Carl Pauling (a two-time Nobel Prize winner). ‘Orthos’ means correct or right, and ‘molecular’ pertains to the molecules within the body. The core principle of orthomolecular medicine is that the body can achieve health when optimal concentrations of nutrients are provided, tailored to one’s genetic or lifestyle needs. These nutrients include vitamins, minerals, trace elements, proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.
