Unlock the secrets within your DNA
‘Personalized Advice, Empowered by Your Unique Blueprint’
Genetically, humans are largely similar, with small variations possible in every gene. These minor differences make us unique, influencing who we are, our predisposition to specific health issues, and how we respond to our environment or medications.
Analyzing your DNA provides insight into your genetic predispositions and how to (proactively) optimize your gene functions. This knowledge allows for tailored solutions to support your health.
A significant amount of information about your health predispositions is encoded in your DNA—your complete set of genes, which you are born with and carry throughout your life. While your DNA is fixed, its expression can change. Certain genes can be "switched on or off" or "sped up or slowed down" by your habits, environment, or what you consume. This means that despite a genetic predisposition to certain conditions, you can influence your health by adjusting your diet, exercise, and lifestyle.
You only need to do a DNA test once!
DNA Testing
DNA analysis maps out your personal genetic blueprint, allowing you to discover strengths and areas for improvement in your health. The DNA test offers insights that empower you to take targeted preventive measures, such as adapting your diet, lifestyle, and medication use to stay healthier for longer and reduce the risk of illnesses.
For complex or challenging health concerns, the results can be combined with other health tests, such as blood, urine, and stool analyses. This provides a complete picture of your current health in combination with your genetic predispositions.
Benefits of a DNA Test:
Preventive Healthcare: Understanding your genetic predispositions enables you to adjust your lifestyle to prevent health issues (and reduce costs).
Personalized Health Advice: Tailored recommendations based on your DNA and risk factors to encourage preventive behavior changes.
Pharmacogenetic Profile: Insights into which medications work best for you and which to avoid, ensuring safer and more effective treatment.
As an iGene Certified Professional, I use iGene DNA tests.
What Will You Find in Your iGene Passport?

All results are accessible through the iGene app, which is continuously updated with new scientific findings.
Extra Modules:
Analysis of 7 biochemical processes. You can activate one or more modules for a fixed fee per module. These additional analyses are optional, available exclusively through an iGene Certified Professional, and subject to extra costs.
Methylation is an essential process that occurs in all cells of the body. It plays a role in energy production, gene expression (epigenetics), DNA synthesis, detoxification, immune system function, the formation and breakdown of hormones and neurotransmitters, as well as tissue and cell repair. Certain genetic variants or lifestyle factors can lead to methylation issues. The most common symptoms include fatigue, irritability, psychological complaints, disrupted stress hormone levels, and increased susceptibility to conditions and autoimmune reactions. This module maps the key genes involved in the methylation cycle, such as MTHFR, MTRR, MTR, BHMT, and AHCY.
The Detoxification module identifies over 35 genes/enzymes that influence the body’s detoxification capacity. These enzymes play a crucial role in processing, converting, and breaking down various substances, including medications, alcohol, pesticides, metals, hormones, vitamins, and minerals.
The Oxidative Stress module assesses your genetic susceptibility to oxidative stress. Many processes and reactions in the body release small harmful particles (reactive oxygen species) that are neutralized by antioxidants. When the balance between antioxidants and harmful particles is disrupted, it causes damage to cells, tissues, and organs, a condition known as oxidative stress.
The Estrogen module provides insight into your genetic predisposition related to hormones such as estrogens, testosterone, and their metabolic byproducts. Hormonal imbalances can result in physical, psychological, and emotional symptoms.
With the Neurotransmitters module, you gain insights into the regulation of neurotransmitters in your body. This module maps key genes involved in this process, including COMT, MAOA, MAOB, HNMT, and DAO.
Most vitamins cannot be produced by the human body, making it crucial to obtain them through diet. However, genetic variations can influence how your body metabolizes and eliminates vitamins, putting some individuals at a higher natural risk of deficiencies. The Vitamins module evaluates your genetic sensitivity to vitamins A, B6, B9, B12, C, D, E, and K1.
Inflammation is the body’s natural protective response to pathogens, harmful substances, and damaged cells or tissues. It involves a cascade of biochemical reactions with the involvement of immune cells, blood cells, and cytokines (inflammatory molecules). Both heightened and reduced inflammatory responses can lead to health issues. This delicate balance, which is easily disrupted, is influenced by genetic variations. The Inflammation module maps your individual inflammatory sensitivity by analyzing twelve key genes.
